Five the Magician has performed over 4,000 live shows.
He began performing professionally in 1997, entertaining restaurant guests at Jack Astor’s with balloon animals and close-up magic. At the same time, he was hired for children’s parties and community events performing clown shows and balloon twisting.
After working in another profession for several years, he returned to performing and began working full-time as a magician in 2012.
Today, Five performs across Waterloo Region and surrounding communities, bringing professional entertainment to birthday parties, corporate functions, schools, and public events.

As with most magicians, Five the Magician started with close-up magic. He spent three years working a variety of restaurants refining his skills. Rather than completely focusing on technique as with traditional magicians, he spent time performing on the stage with a life-size puppet theatre.
Five the Magician also performed at 100’s of birthday parties and corporate events as a clown. By combining the theatrical presentation of the life-size puppet theatre with the visual comedy of a circus performance and maintaining the technique and skills of a close-up magician, Five the Magician developed a magic show that is fast-paced and visually dramatic with stunning illusions.
Distinct props, costumes for participants, and larger magic tricks make it visible for a big audience, but still compact enough to be performed in a living room. There is even a surprise juggling segment … which keeps the magic fresh and exciting. You can be confident that my magic show will be fun and exciting for the kids at your event.
