3 Ways to Save Money on a Birthday Party
1. Skip the Pizza and Serve Snacks
Serving a meal is not a requirement. Parents are okay serving a meal before or after the party, particularly if the party starts 12:30 pm or later.
2. Give a Small Gift rather than Goodie Bags
Pick a small gift that the kids will want to use, such as a flashlight, a slinky, silly putty, a bath toy, a book, a small tub of Play-Doh, bubbles.
3. Have the Party at Home
Renting an event location can cost $200 or more. A birthday party for up to 15 kids can be done in a home of any size with little disruption. Simply have it well planned so the kids are busy or entertained the whole time.
